Committed ... to industry trade associations throughout her career and having a consistent industry message and passion over the years, "Catch the Vision: Education, Awareness & Growth," Susan served as President of The Blue Mountain Association of Professional Mortgage Women, The Oregon Escrow Council, Inc. and the American Escrow Association. She holds the Professional Designations of Certified Senior Escrow Officer and Certified Senior Collection Escrow Officer through OEC, where she served as Advanced Escrow Instructor. She has taught numerous classes over the years, not only to title and escrow settlement professionals, but to sales and marketing staff, lenders, realtors and mortgage brokers.
Involved ... and intrigued with national regulatory issues from an operational impact and implementation perspective since her early days on the AEA Board, Susan became an avid student of RESPA and TILA, and has been speaking on RESPA Reform since 2002. She participated in HUD's first RESPA "Road to Reform" Roundtable in Washington, DC, in July, 2005. She serves as Chair of the AEA RESPA Working Group, has been an active member of the MBA-ALTA-AEA Uniform Closing Instructions workgroup since January, 2006, and participated in its sub-workgroup analyzing RESPA and TILA implementation implications.
